The right vivarium
At least 90 x 45 x 45 cm, wide rather than tall, with hides, climbing branches or rocks and a temperature gradient.
Temperature, lighting & climate
- Warmest basking area around 35–40 °C; the coolest spot should not fall below 22 °C during the day
- Night-time around 20–23 °C
- Humidity around 30–40 %
- UVB is not essential, but can support the natural day-night rhythm
Feeding
Insectivorous: crickets, locusts and mealworms, sized to suit the animal. Dust livefood regularly with calcium and vitamins.
