Can I rehome or sell my animal to you?
Enquiry, paperwork, collection – step by step
In principle: yes
We do take animals in. Whether that takes the form of a purchase or simply rehoming is something we agree individually once we have reviewed your enquiry.
Step 1: Send us your enquiry
Please include the following details:
- species, number and sex
- age or hatch year and state of health
- reason for rehoming and your location
Step 2: Paperwork
To take an animal in we need the appropriate documents – for protected species the original proof of origin for each animal, plus an invoice where applicable. Without the necessary paperwork we cannot take protected species in.
Step 3: Collection and transport
Once we have confirmed, we need the following to arrange transport: box size, approximate weight and your preferred date. We then book the live animal courier and send you the shipping labels.
- Collection: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Not on the day before weekends or public holidays
Packing correctly
Snakes go in bags, other animals in suitable boxes. Pad them with newspaper or kitchen roll and tape the polystyrene box up securely.
Only use a heat pack if the daytime temperature is below 18 °C – and never more than one. Multiple heat packs can overheat and kill animals.
If a purchase has been agreed, payment follows once the animals have arrived and been checked.
Transport costs are agreed individually with you, depending on the animal and the effort involved.
