Adjusting the contacts usually does it
The most common cause: contacts in the holder
In most cases the problem can be solved by slightly adjusting the contacts.
Always unplug the unit from the mains before doing anything!
- Carefully push the bottom contact in the holder up a little with a screwdriver or fingernail, so that it presses more firmly against the base of the bulb.
- Gently bend the side contacts outwards as well, so that they sit more tightly against the base.
- Refit the bulb and test it.
