Adjusting the contacts usually does it

The most common cause: contacts in the holder

In most cases the problem can be solved by slightly adjusting the contacts.

Always unplug the unit from the mains before doing anything!

  1. Carefully push the bottom contact in the holder up a little with a screwdriver or fingernail, so that it presses more firmly against the base of the bulb.
  2. Gently bend the side contacts outwards as well, so that they sit more tightly against the base.
  3. Refit the bulb and test it.
