Wooden vivarium or starter kit: why does my delivery arrive separately?
Accessories first, vivarium follows – that is normal
Vivariums are dispatched separately by the manufacturer
Because of their size and weight, wooden vivariums – including those in starter kits – are not sent as a standard parcel. They are dispatched as bulky goods directly by the manufacturer, glass panels included, via DPD.
This is why your accessories usually arrive first. The vivarium normally follows a few days later – a delay of up to two working days is completely normal.
Very large vivariums: pallet delivery
Particularly large or heavy vivariums can only be transported by freight on a pallet. The delivery charge for this is calculated at checkout.
If your vivarium takes noticeably longer than expected, just get in touch with your order number and we will check the status with the manufacturer.
